Overview
OfferVela is a Shopify app that helps merchants create offers, attribute discounts, and understand offer performance. This policy explains what data OfferVela processes and how that data is used.
Data We Process
OfferVela processes the minimum data needed to provide app functionality and merchant analytics. This may include:
- Shop information needed to install and operate the app.
- Product and inventory information used for offer targeting.
- Order data needed to attribute OfferVela discounts and calculate merchant-facing revenue, discount, cost, and profit analytics.
Customer Data
OfferVela reads customer display names while a merchant searches for customers to target an offer. It stores the selected Shopify customer identifiers, not customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or addresses. Order data is used only to power offer attribution and analytics for the merchant.

- To publish and manage merchant offers.
- To attribute orders and discounts to OfferVela offers.
- To calculate merchant-facing offer analytics.
- To maintain app security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
Data Sharing and Sale
OfferVela does not sell customer personal data. OfferVela does not use customer personal data for advertising, marketing, or automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects.
Data Retention
OfferVela keeps app and analytics data only for as long as needed to provide the app to merchants, meet operational requirements, and comply with applicable obligations. When a merchant uninstalls the app, OfferVela handles uninstall events and removes or deactivates app access as required by Shopify platform behavior.
Open customer data requests contain only Shopify resource identifiers and are deleted as soon as the merchant marks the request complete. Valid customer redaction requests remove matching order-attribution records, and valid shop redaction requests remove all OfferVela data associated with that shop.
Security
OfferVela uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect app data, including Shopify authentication, signed webhook verification, HTTPS, and restricted production database access.
